COTA Conversations | Wellness 2 Age: Empowering Older People to Live Well
Wellness 2 Age is an innovative, evidence-based program designed to support older people to stay active, independent, and engaged in their communities.
Developed by a team of allied health experts, it focuses on improving mobility, cognitive skills, and social well-being through activities that are meaningful and adaptable to everyday life. The program was recently trialled in regional NSW with the team reporting great feedback and results.
We hear from the allied health professionals who developed Wellness 2 Age from the Three Rivers Department of Rural Health at Charles Sturt University in Albury NSW, together with Greta, a participant in the trial program and Aged Care support worker Suzy Hann, who shares her experience of being involved with the trial.
