Are You Aging Well? Do This Test #shorts
Dr. Janine suggests doing this test to find out if you are aging well. Starting seated with your back against the chair stand fully upright and sit down – not touching the back of the chair – five times as fast as you can. Stop the timer when you are fully seated after standing for the fifth time. Below is the amount of time each age group should take.
20-29 yrs = 6.0 sec (+/- 1.4 sec)
50-59 yrs = 7.7 sec (+/- 2.6 sec)
80-89 yrs = 16.7 sec (+/- 4.5 sec) male
80-89 yrs = 17.2 sec (+/- 5.5 sec) female
