"We live in a culture of ageism." Jeff Rubin shares his #frompage2stage.
How many of us have experienced the switch of roles? No longer do our parents tell us what to do like they did when we were children and needed to be cared for. Now it is the elderly parents who need the care and the adult children are the ones doing the “telling”.
At the age of 35 Jeff found himself taking on the role of long distance carer and he has been a passionate advocate of older people ever since.
Who is Jeff Rubin?
Jeff is a speaker, author, and internationally recognized advocate in the fight against age discrimination and the advancement of positive aging. Jeff believes that no one number should ever define an individual’s value and self-worth. He believes instead that anyone, regardless of their ability, disability, or age, can think, dream, and influence the world around them. He brings this about by raising individual and organizational awareness, promoting intergenerational communication and interaction, and creating partnerships of opportunity that maximize public inclusion, collaboration, and change. A passionate and effective speaker, Jeff’s message is uplifting, informative, and empowering.
